Dogs vs Cats

The City of Revelstoke's Animal Control division is responsible for impounding and reuniting lost dogs with their owners. RDHS is responsible for found and abandoned cats. The process for each scenario therefore differs slightly.

Secure Your Animal

Failing to properly secure your pet has consequences. If your dog is impounded, you will be asked to provide (or purchase) a dog licence. The biggest benefit of registering your dog with the city is staff are able to contact you right away if they find it.
