Reporting Animal Abuse

Call the SPCA

Unfortunately, the Revelstoke Humane Society has no legal rights to intervene in these situations.

If you witness or suspect sustained mistreatment or abuse of any pet at a designated residence in Revelstoke, please call the Salmon Arm SPCA immediately at 250-832-7376 during regular hours or the Animal Cruelty & Wildlife Support Line 855-622-7722 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) 7 days a week. When required, the SPCA will coordinate with the local RCMP.

When to Call the Local RCMP

If you are witness to a situation where the life of a dog or cat is in imminent danger due to human mistreatment (i.e. dog being dragged by a car), call the local RCMP at (250) 837-5255. Do not call 911.

Report All Poachers

The Report All Poachers and Polluters (RAPP) hotline should be used to report wildlife-human interactions where public safety may be at risk. The RAPP program is a toll free tip line and online service that also allows you to report known or suspected violations of fisheries, wildlife, or environmental protection laws anonymously and without risk of confronting the offender. Available 24/7 at 877 952-7277, RAPP is simple, safe and effective.
