Spay & Neuter Assistance Program

Thank You

The RDHS is deeply grateful for the generous funding provided these organizations to make our Spay and Neuter Assistance Program possible:

  • Revelstoke Community Foundation ($1500)
  • RCU Community Giving Program ($2500)
  • Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiatives & Affected Area Programs ($5000)

Importance

Spaying helps prevent uterine infections and breast tumors, which are malignant or cancerous in about 50 percent of dogs and 90 percent of cats. Spaying your pet before her first heat offers the best protection from these diseases. Neutering your male companion prevents testicular cancer and some prostate problems.

Our Program

For those requiring financial help to spay or neuter their pet, the Revelstoke Humane Society's Spay and Neuter Assistance Program offsets the cost of spaying and neutering animals in the care of Revelstoke residents.

While funds are available, the RDHS offers covers a minimum of 30% of spaying and neutering costs for owners of Revelstoke dogs and cats in need of financial assistance. Upon approval, the Revelstoke Veterinary Clinic will contact you with the final cost and book your pet’s surgery.
