Your Time Equals Our Success

RDHS offers plenty of opportunities to get involved and help out. If you are interested in volunteering your time, offering ideas, or providing feedback, please do so by completing the form on this page.

To become a volunteer, you must:

• be 19 years of age or older;
• provide a criminal record check (free for volunteers at the local RCMP detachment);
• sign a waiver;
• be available for two orientation evenings prior to start; and
• state hours of availability (weekdays, weeknights, and/or weekends).

Shelter Volunteers

Helping Out at an Event

If you wish to help us set up or staff an upcoming event please apply. We can always use a helping hand!

Pet Fostering

Organizing or Hosting an Event

We always welcome community initiatives that help raise money and awareness provided approval is secured in advance. If you are considering hosting a fundraiser to benefit RDHS, please submit the request form at the idea stage and we'll get back to you right away!
