Adoption Fees

Payment

Adoption fees are paid when the animal is ready to be taken home. Adoption fees include a lifetime microchip registered through BC Pet Registry.

• Kittens (8 months & under) $160
• Cats (over 8 months) $120
• Puppies (12 months & under) $240
• Adult dogs (over 12 months) $210
• Senior cat (over 8 years) $50–$120
• Animal pairs that RDHS has deemed should remain together (cost to be determined)

Adoption fees will be refunded upon the pet's return if the animal is found to be unsuited to the new home within a 6 week period.
